This is an excellent explanation of the ongoing Apostasy that is taking place. Sadly many godly men are falling and so are many godly women. Beth Moore has been a woman used by God. However, she is NOW and has been for some time engaging in extra biblical practices. One of those practices being ‘contemplative prayer.’ In her DVD, BE STILL, (yes I’ve seen it) she encouraged the people to ‘meditate’ on getting closer to God. The bible tells us to meditate on HIS Word, but in know way does the bible teach at any point to eliminate thought as does ‘contemplative’ prayer does. Oh, yes, they ‘tell’ you that you are concentrating on Jesus or God, but are you really? This type of meditation (unbiblical) is meant to quiet yourself and think of nothing. This type of prayer is used by Eastern Religions and allows ’spirits’ to enter in, and mind you, demonic spirits are lying to you and can ‘make’ you feel like you are experiencing ’something.’ But that Something is actually spiritual in the demonic realm.
Take a listen to this and make an educated decision.
Let me warn you, the apostasy is directly related to the Church. The ‘falling’ away is people who ‘believe’ they are doing Christian things and earnestly seeking God those people having a ‘form of godliness’ are being deceived by other spirits. Ultimately these spirits are meant to lead you away from Christ Jesus, the true Messiah who died for our sin on the cross. I’ve been wanting to speak about this on this blog but have been so busy with the other that I’ve neglected this one. There is so much going on at such a fast rate that I can’t simply keep up and have any kind of life with my family!
All I can say at this point is this:
The Signs of the Times are evident and clear. There are many signs taking place at the same time and there’s now a threshold that has been crossed where I can’t keep up in telling you everything that is going on. I can now see why the 5 wise virgins stated in Matthew 25,
7″Then all the virgins woke up and trimmed their lamps.
8The foolish ones said to the wise, ‘Give us some of your oil; our lamps are going out.’
9″ ‘No,’ they replied, ‘there may not be enough for both us and you. Instead, go to those who sell oil and buy some for yourselves.’
10″But while they were on their way to buy the oil, the bridegroom arrived. The virgins who were ready went in with him to the wedding banquet. And the door was shut.
Time had got the best of these foolish ones. There was no time to ‘impart’ any oil because It was now time! The Bridegroom had arrived, there’s no time to sit and give the others what you have. I am beginning to see that there is running out a time to tell you all that you need to know (regarding the signs of the times). I once was asked to write out a sentence that would convey my last message to those whom I love. The exercise then would make one deduce the sentence to a few words. Then eventually I was brought down to only choose One word that I would be able to say as my last word. The last word left on my paper was JESUS. If this is my last post, if this is my last sentence, if this is my last breath, all I can say is JESUS!
I agree that emergent prayer is dangerous. Meditating on God’s word is the only wise way to pray. Emptying your mind is soooo foolish.
Do you believe apostasy is going to happen to true believers, or only to false believers who call themselves Christian? I believe only unsaved people can become apostates.

What about the passage that says:
“be still and know that I am God?”
What about that Scripture Rebecca? Psalm 46:10
“Be still, and know that I am God;
I will be exalted among the nations,
I will be exalted in the earth! ”
There is no where in scripture that I have found where it says to repeat a few words of scripture to the point where your in some sort of “space” and then there you can meet God. Quite the contrary. The word of God says when they say to you He’s in the inner rooms do not go, when they say He’s in the desert-do not go. There are so many ways to counterfeit what God has made perfect for us in His word that it is very easy to deceive the naive Christian, whether it is because this Christian simply trusts those who have a well established name or ministry or because they don’t want to invest time to read God’s word or maybe they don’t even understand the Word so they think going along with what someone they know and trust uses to understand the word must be ok. Hear me when I say WE will all stand accountable before our God and we will answer to Him. I have a love for the brethren that I don’t want to see my brother’s and sisters in Christ deceived. This is why I am usually the bearer of bad news to them, but it’s much more important to keep our eyes focused on God and not “trust” so much the words of fallen man (Pastors and Ministry Leaders are still human and can sin and fail us miserably) we need to look to the Word of God now more then ever.
I think a lot of people misunderstand the verses meanings on be still. Interpreters are divided as to whether God in verse 10 is telling His people to stop trying to defend themselves against their enemies (cf. Exod. 14:14), or whether He is telling their enemies to stop warring against God’s people, or both. In any case God is not telling any individual to slow down, find a quiet place, and meditate on Him. He is telling the nations to stop their futile efforts to control the world and instead acknowledge (“know”), or understand, that He controls it.
