When God is not enough:
we fill stadiums…
When we tell you all you need is Christ Jesus:
Why is God not enough for you?
Why is He not enough for me?
Why does the human condition not think it enough that the God of Heaven and Earth, Creator of all things sought in His will to redeem us through the blood of His only Begotten Son?
Why do we add to the Gospel daily what does not need to be there?
We are not unlike the Israelites who in their vainglory sought after other gods on the high places or secretly built altars to idols that have no place in our life as a saved person. Do we undervalue the power of the Gospel and the Holy Spirit to convict that we resort to taking our “Unchurched” to stadiums for an experience? Do we believe in His power?
Have we stopped fearing our LORD for the sake of fitting into this world?
Where are the faithful? Where are the men and women of God who Fear Him above all and seek to save the LOST?
I have a prayer today, I am asking the Lord to take away the things that I add to Him and to help me See Him again!
“Lord forgive me for being a spoiled kid who constantly needs things outside of You and fill me with your Holy Spirit that I can Hear you again and See you with the right perspective. Cleanse me from the effects of this world and what the world calls a “Christian.” Give me boldness to share your saving message, humble me that I would know YOU are all I need. I beg you Abba to restore my soul and make all things new.”- amen.
